The Dutch House is a elegant three bedroom house built in colonial style perched on a hill above the town of Bandarawella, in the central province of UVA. Bandarawella is famous for its healthy climate, tea bungalows and mountain trails.
The Dutch House Bandarawella has the character and feel of a Dutch Period colonial house. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure an authentic look by using antique doors and windows, including a satinwood and ebony staircase, all reclaimed from old colonial houses in Sri Lanka.
The house sleeps six people. Accommodation comprises of three loft style bedrooms upstairs with exposed timber beams and hardwood floors; Two double rooms with large four poster beds and en-suite bathrooms and one twin room with the bathroom on the landing.
One of the most extraordinary features of the house is an enclosed swimming pool with two spa seats. Just what you need after a long walk in the mountains.

| Bandarawella can be reached by road from Nuwara Eliya and from Kandy by road or by train. Travel time from Nuwara Eliya is approximately 2 hours by road. From Kandy the train can take up to 7 hours. The road towards the south is wonderfully scenic, especially beyond Haputale as you descent over 1000 meters into the low lands. |

| Rates Include All taxes and service charges. All villas come with staff Cleaner (Daily), Chef/Cook (Full time), and Security. Full English breakfast and 3 course dinner. Check in – 3.00pm, Check out - 10.00am Late check outs up to 6.00pm may incur a half day charge, after 6.00pm a full day may be charged. Every effort will be made to accommodate other check in/out times but will depend on availability. Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be advised in writing and will take effect the day we receive it. Standard Cancellation Terms apply however where possible we voluntarily negotiate with the hotels and service providers on your behalf and refund all recoverable costs for cancellations beyond our terms and conditions. Our standard cancellation policy is as follows: Off Peak Period • If you cancel more than 45 days prior to arrival the deposit is non-refundable. • If you cancel between 30 and 45 days prior to arrival the cancellation is 40% of the villa price. • If you cancel between 15 and 29 days prior to arrival the cancellation is 60% of the villa price. • If you cancel between 14and 0 days prior to arrival the cancellation is 100% of the villa price. Peak Period. (December 15 to January 15) • If you cancel more than 45 days prior to arrival the deposit is non-refundable. • If you cancel between 0 and 45 days prior to arrival the cancellation is 100% of the villa price. | Rates Exclude Payment Terms A deposit is payable to when you confirm your booking. The deposit amount may vary depending on the seasonality. We will advise the exact deposit. The deposit is non refundable and is taken on behalf of the property and is required to secure the accommodation. For all bookings once we receive the non refundable deposit we will provide you with a booking voucher with the full villa or hotel details giving confirmed dates and full details of the booking. In all villa bookings full payment must be received one month in advance. For a villa booking a security deposit equal to one day's rent may be payable on your arrival by way of cash. The deposit will be used as security for any damages and or charges incurred by you during your stay. This amount less any chargeable items will be returned to you upon departure. |
